[DE] Das Wasser dieses Brunnens, den du, verehrter Leser, hier siehst, hat Clemens Wenzelslaus Erzbischof und Kurfürst von Trier, Königlicher Prinz von Polen, Herzog von Sachsen aus eigenen Mitteln von oberhalb Metternich hierhin führen lassen. Die Wasserleitung wurde begonnen im Jahre des Herrn 1783. Im Jahre 1786, am 21. August, wurde sie vollendet und spendete zum erstenmal Wasser.
Den ausgezeichneten und nützlichen Bau entwarf,leitete und vollendete Georg Kirn Pionierhauptmann und Wasserbaudirektor.
Der Erlöser möge dieses Werk segnen!
Aufgeführt ist der Brunnen in der Liste der Kulturdenkmäler für Koblenz: klassizistischer Viereckblock mit Giebelabschlüssen, 1806 an die erste kurfürstliche Wasserleitung angeschlossen
Das Wasser dieses Brunnens fließt aus dem Kopf einer Ente in das darunter befindliche Becken.
