This Control Point iron pipe is a witness point to the South 1/4 Corner of Section 13 which is 160 feet away in the middle of Perch Lake.

Originally the pipe was set 22 feet from the bank of Perch lake in 1983 as a witness mark to the actual corner which sits 160 feet away underwater in Perch Lake. Today the iron pipe is only 7 feet away from the water's edge. Located near the General McCoy American Legion, the location is easily found using the tie sheet. The pipe has a yellow plastic cap embossed with the words "Control Point" It has orange work tape around it. Find the light pole by the tanks and the corner of the American Legion and triangulate the location next to the lake.
