E 10 Bench Mark Disk - Sparta, WI - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This well preserved disk was found using geocaching.com and is in very good shape. It's marked by an orange witness post and in a 3-4 inch hole. It's dated 1930.

The best way to get to this benchmark is to park at the Sparta/Elroy Bike Trail parking at the Sparta Chamber of Commerce building 111 Milwaukee Street, Sparta, WI 54656. From there you are in walking distance to the benchmark. Cross over the trail and a remaining set of abandoned railroad tracks and you will see the witness post.
