David Walker's headstone is a wide tree stump with a bow engraved at the top. The WOW seal and the inscription are engraved on a large scroll and reads:

The tree stump stands on a block with large name engraved: WALKER. This stands on a rusticated horizontal block.
The headstone is located in the Cherokee National Cemetery, established in 1857, with ownership transferred to the town of Ft. Gibson at Statehood in 1907. The cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places.
