Located on your way to the Field of Honor, this plaque is on a rock just outside of the Black River Falls Visitor Center. It celebrates the sacrifice of one Lance Corporal Steve R. Ott who was killed in action in Vietnam August 16, 1970. LCPL Ott was a native of Black River Falls. He is buried at Riverside cemetery and has a snowmobile trail named after him as well.
LCPL Ott is located on Panel 8W, Row 116 on the Vietnam memorial in Washington DC.
