Two blocks west is the home built in 1843 by Justice Henry Baldwin, who was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1830. As a member of Congress from 1816 to 1822, he was an early advocate of protective tariff. The house is now maintained as a museum by the Crawford County Historical Society.
