Eddie's American Diner has been used as a location for two series of the Dr. Who television show.
In "The Impossible Astronaut, the first episode of the sixth series of Dr Who, Booth 11 of Eddie's American Diner was used as the spot where the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) met up with companions River Song (Alex Kingston), Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) and Amy Pond (Karen Gillan). The booth is marked today (2016) with a photo from the filming.
In "Hell Bent,"the twelfth episode of the eleventh series, Eddie's appears again, this time as Ashldir (Maisie Williams) and Clara's (Jenna Coleman) TARDIS. The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) sits at the counter telling tales of adventures he can only remember hazily and fragmentarily, after Clara wiped his memory of their adventures together.
