[DE] Eingerahmt in Metall das typische Erkennungszeichen für Apotheken: Die Schlange mit Giftkelch, oberhalb des Rahmens die Reichskrone, die der Apotheke ihren Namen gab. Krone und Schlange mit Kelch wurden jeweils in Gold gehalten.
Das Apotheken-A ist ein „großes, rotes, gotisches A auf weißem Grund mit in weißer Ausführung eingezeichnetem Arzneikelch mit Schlange“. Der Giftkelch steht symbolisch für die zahlreichen toxischen Stoffe, mit denen der Apotheker umgehen muss. Die Schlange verweist als Zeichen des antiken Heilgottes Äskulap auf Gesundheit und Heilkunde.
