The bell hang in the old Union Church across the highway. When the church was closed, the bell was held in trust by the Town of Redfield, of which Greenboro is now par of.
The new base and mount was completed in 1983 after the land it sits on was donated.
The bell and the old Union Church are accessible from CR 17 south of Lorraine or north of Redfield.
