There are numerous war memorial on the grounds of the Pontotoc County Courthouse.

On the east side of the courthouse, there are several benches dedicated to war heroes, and fighting groups. There is also a V.F.W. memorial dedicated in 1954.
The balance of this area consists of two walkways, along which are vertical granite monuments, and benches. One of the monuments is specific to the Combat Infantrymen's Badge recipients and has been posted separately. Four remaining monuments along these two walks list the names of Pontotoc County veterans in various wars.
At the west juncture of the walks is a granite pillar which reads: "Lest we forget those who gave their lives for their country / Dedicated July 4, 1990".
