This bronze statue of the first President sitting on a bench joins statues of Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt and Reagan. George is presented wearing his riding boots and cloak with the cloak folded up into his lap. His hat is in his right hand. In his left is a copy of the Constitution. The look on his face maybe either grimace or grin. Perhaps the teeth weren't fitting right or the bench was hard. The statue is roughly life sized and is of cast bronze. It was created by George Lundeen and Mark Lundeen and was donated in 2015 by Walter and Betty Martin and other members of the community. A nearby marker gives information on the piece and the nearby statue of Jefferson. It also lists other donors. A separate marker gives Washington's dates of birth and death. It includes a number of his most memorable quotes.
