"After moving to Vestal she became involved in The Discovery Center, doing design work, including the logo. She did numerous other art and design projects, mostly on a voluneer basis. She was a long-standing member of the Vestal School Board of Education, and until the last few months had toiled to bring their recently approved $54 million renovation project to fruition. She was known widely for inspiring people to do better, and for her trademark bib overalls."
