Der Bildstock entstand aus einer privaten Stiftung eines Mondorfer Ehepaars aus der 2. Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts.
Die Figur hält einen Feuerrost, der symbolisch für den Feuertod des Heiligen steht.
Ursprünglich stand der Bildstock an einer anderen Stelle im Ort und wurde 1960 an der Kirche positioniert.

Laurentius helds a grate as a reminder of his martyrdom.
Originally the statue was located somewhere else in town. 1960 it was placed in front of the church.
