I could not find any explanation of the flag or its history. It has not changed since at least 1333.
I found this flag at the crossing east of the railway station on the way to the old town center.

Eine Erklärung der Flagge oder seine Geschichte konnte ich nirgends finden. Sie ist seit mindestens 1333 unverändert in Gebrauch.
Ich fand diese Flagge an der Kreuzung östlich vom Bahnhof auf dem Weg zur Altstadt.
