Rosedale Cemetery is located on Armory Road, just north of the J.A. Richardson Loop and east of Highway 377. This is a beautiful cemetery, well maintained containing approximately 15,500 burials. The cemetery is bisected by numerous paved drives. The land is level and dotted with trees.
A fascinating item found in this cemetery is a WPA-constructed chapel. The building is made of native stone, but the frontal facade is overlaid with chunks of petrified wood. Fascinating!
