This window, a blocked-off gem on the first floor (in the UK, the first floor is upstairs from the ground floor), no longer sees the sun shine through its beautiful glass. There is no access to the back of the window, since the 1st floor concourse has been renovated into shop spaces and the window sealed from a through-view behind a wall.
The lady in the perfume shop which occupies the space behind the window didn't even know it was there! She walked outside with us and said she had never looked the wall to see it.
The window is located above the ground-floor Exit 3, near a fast food baguette and coffee shop on the first floor. It used to form an elegant gateway arch exit for the Waterloo station.
