This mosaic mural depicts a parchment with a map of the Southwestern United States and Baja California with the Los Angeles area being shaded in red. "LOS ANGELES" is written at the bottom of the scroll and small coat of arms for John Cantwell, J.Francis McIntyre and Timothy Manning.
Cantwell was the first Arch-Bishop of Los Angeles (1936–1947))
McIntyre was Arch-Bishop (1948–1970) and
Manning was Arch-Bishop (1970–1985) and later a Cardinal.
The date "1936-1976" also appears near the top.
