Indian Steps Museum, originally called Indian Steps Cabin, was built in 1912 by John Edward Vandersloop, a prominent York Attorney, and is situated overlooking the Susquehanna River.
This building represents an unusual combination of styles. One unusual feature of this structure is the inclusion of numerous cement panels containing inscriptions and embedded Indian artifacts, which are vaciously placed in the masonry of the foundation, first floor, and tower.
The Architect was Charles A. Keyworth, and the builder was Frank Warner.
