The rocky lane to this cemetery was once the original road between Dildo and New Harbour.
An older Salvation Army cemetery can be found near the church hall. I suspect that this second cemetery was opened just before 1920.
The Trinity Bay South Cemeteries of The Salvation Army have opened another cemetery for Dildo and New Harbour. Assuming that this cemetery is now closed to burials, I am marking the cemetery as inactive.
Visitors to the cemetery have left wild flowers (roses in particular) which have taken root on grave sites. Perhaps many of the monuments were hidden from the transcriber of the cited web site. That web site is far from complete.
