In Westborough, over Main Street, is an iron railroad bridge that supports the CSX and MBTA Commuter Rail Line to Worcester.

The bridge is located near a mall and is located about a half mile northeast of the town's center.

The bridge is an iron bridge, painted black. The tracks are supported by two trusses with three posts, each. On the truss supports are many rivets and lattice designs. Rivets continue on the sides around the track bed. The span includes not only the narrow two-lane road, but two sidewalks, as well. Above the road is a low bridge sign, with the height shown as 12 ft 6 inches.

Despite this sign and warnings further back, cars and trucks still either get wedged or end up crashing under it.

I could not find any information about the bridge after a search on the Internet. The railroad line is a very old one. The Boston and Worcester Railroad was one of the three original railroads out from Boston, laid roughly in 1835. I am not sure if this is the original track line. The bridge is probably much more recent - but I didn't find any bridge plates to indicate the date and builder.
