Jakob Bitter, a merchant of Bonn, built a mansion in the Rococo style in Hersel in 1766. This wine pavilion was also in his possession. The pavilion with its baroque roof recalls the time, as in Hersel still wine was cultivated. After several bad harvests this era ended in the early 20th century. The pavillon is listet as an architectural monument of Hersel(No. 119).
