There is a sign board with information about the river heritage:
Your Kettle River Heritage

This public access park was made possible by the adoption of a policy plan for local management of the Kettle River by the Ferry and Stevens County Commissioners. The plan was adopted in 1991.

The property for this park was donated by the Matney Family as the first public access park on the eastern reach of the Kettle River.

Please do your part to take care of this park...and give your river the respect it deserves.
