This painted ceramic mural on the walls surrounding the Custom House Plaza.
It's central depiction is of three tall sailing ships arriving into Monterey Bay...with the caption "Commodore Sloat Takes Possession at Custom House 1846" The Custom House is depicted on the left side. Below are much smaller scenes depicting Larkin House, Colton Hall, Gold Rushers, etc.
