The first ranger station here in Republic was built by the CCC in 1933. It was a small log building which, in the 1970s, was moved to South Clark Avenue to serve as the city hall, which, with additions, it continues to do today. At that time a new and larger office building was built in its place.

More than just an office, this is a complex, the storage location for all the equipment and vehicles which are used in the management of the Republic Ranger District.
