Rare milk stand located on the grounds of the Ameliasburgh Pioneer Village in Ameliasburgh, ON.
The stand was donated from a nearby dairy farm years ago. It now stands as a reminder of the days when dairy farmers would milk several head of cattle and place the fresh milk in cans on the stand for the dairies to pick up by team and later by truck.
With the advent of huge dairy barns these old milk stands have all but disappeared from area farms.
