DE: Altes Zollhaus
Das um 1500 erbaute Zollhaus geht auf die Herrschaft des Essener Damenstifts über das Breisiger Ländchen zurück. Der Landsherrin wurden vom Kaiser als Hoheitsrecht die Erhebung von Wegzöllen gewährt. Daraufhin ließ sie das Zollhaus neben den beiden Zollstationen am „Kölner «Tor" und am „Koblenzer Tor" errichten.
EN: Customs House built in 1500 from the Essen convent, who ruled the „Breisiger Ländchen". As a sovereign right, the emperor granted the ruler to collect road toll. Therefore she has the customs hause ballt in addition to the already existing two customs posts „Cologne Gate" and „Coblenz Gate".
