[FR] Ce char M-10 a été produit à 6076 exemplaires entre septembre 1942 et décembre 1943.
Le char Porc-Epic, mis hors de combat le 26 janvier 1945, a été restauré en ce lieu.
Il appartenait au 3e escardon du 8e Regiment de Chasseur d’Afrique.
Ce Chasseur de chars, équipé du châssis du SHERMAN M-4-A2, est l’un des rares blindés alliés, capable en 1944, de détruire les chars TIGRE et PANTHER, malgrés son point faible, sa tourelle à ciel ouvert.
Le char Porc-Epic avait été engagé à Nimes en août 1944, puis en Haut-Saône en novembre 1944 et finalement à Illhausern en janvier 1945.
Ce 26 janvier 1945, trois des cinq hommes d’équipage y ont perdu la vie :
Claude Beaufils - René Cardot - René Garnier.
Charles Badina et Marc Samin survécurent.
Selon sa volonté, les cendres de Marc SAMIN déccédé le 14 octobre 1991, reposent pour l’éternité dans ce char.

[EN ]This tank M-10 was produced in 6076 copies between September 1942 and December 1943.
The Porc-Epic tank, knocked out 26 January 1945, and has been restored in this place.
He belonged to the 3rd escardon of the 8th Regiment of African Hunter.
This hunter tanks, equipped with a SHERMAN M-4-A2 chassis, is one of the few allied tanks, able in 1944 to destroy and TIGER & PANTHER tanks malgrés his weakness, his open turret.
The Porc-Epic tank had been engaged in Nimes in August 1944, then in Haut-Saône in November 1944 and finally Illhausern in January 1945.
26 January 1945, three of the five crewmen lost their lives:
Claude Beaufils - Cardot René - René Garnier.
Charles and Marc Badina Samin survived.
According to his will, the ashes of Marc SAMIN déccédé October 14, 1991, are based for eternity in this tank.
