In Waltham, on Waltham Common, is an engraved brick plaza known as "The Circle of Remembrance."

Waltham Common is bounded by Main Street, Moody Street, Center Street, and Elm Street. The plaza is located near the center, more toward the Center Street side.

The plaza is a circular feature with bricks surrounding seven flag poles. Light stone rings are at about half diameter and around the full diameter of bricks. A combination of benches, grass and bushes surround these features.

There are over 1500 engraved bricks to peruse.

There are several entrances, with a sign, saying "Circle of Remembrance - A place for Remembering Those Who Sacrificed to Keep You Safe."

Near one entrance is a plaque with the names of people who were politicians, who were part of the construction, or who were on a committee.

The plaza was built in 2005. Signs had a date of 2015 - probably when the signs were added.
