Benjaminson Park is a small green space in the Westwood neighbourhood of Winnipeg. The park is named after Skuli Benjaminson. This marker tells his story.

Dedicated to the memory of
an early Westwood area pioneer
SKULI BENJAMINSON
1879 - 1970
Skuli Benjaminson built the first home
in the district, carved the first road
through the bush to Portage Avenue,
and provided the funds to have power
lines strung along Whittier Street.
As owner of the first car and telephone
in the district Skuli Benjaminson
provided transportation service and
courtesy messages for his neighbours.
