This Japanese Garden is open May-September, usually 10am to 6pm. You need to access the garden through the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, which suggests a donation of $2 per adult, $1 per child, but isn't required (Personally I'd suggest the donation if you enjoy these gardens and wish to support them).
This Garden is a symbolic gesture to St. Paul's sister city, Nagasaki. There is a Tea House at the Garden, but you may only enter it by appointment on specific dates, please see the website for more details. Also of note, they host an annual Lantern Ceremony at the Garden, it's usually held in the middle of August on a Sunday evening. The Conservatory also houses a Bonsai Garden, which would be a perfect complimenting stop on your visit.
