This clock was orginally mounted on the 1904 Houston City Hall and Market House. After the 1938 construction of the current City Hall, the clock was put into storage. It disappeared and resurfaced in 1996 at an amusement park in the Pineywoods. Someone recognized it, and the city retrieved it, installing it in this brand new clock tower.
