In Keene, near Central Square, is the E. F. Lane Block, that has a dated stone with the years, 1891-1934.
The block is located on the east side of Main Street. It is a brick building, three stories tall. The dated stone is located above the third floor windows, in the center.
An online source has a history for this building. There have been commercial buildings at this location for many years. Elisha Lane bought the property in 1890 and built the present building. Extensions to the building were added in 1899 and 1901. A fire badly damaged this and another building in 1934.
