William Darrell “Billy” Mays was the well-known TV pitchman who began selling products on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Recognized for his energetic style, Mays began selling such products as Oxi Clean, Orange Glow and Kaboom on the Home Shopping Network. The sales of these products soared which allowed Mays to start his own production based company where he sold everything from cleaning, home repair products, to an assortment of “you can’t live without it items.” Mays was at the height of his career when he was found dead in his Tampa, Florida Home on June 20, 2009.
