"As the population in and around Keller grew in
the early 1980’s, the need for a Catholic Church
became clear. After much study and speculation,
Diocesan representatives foresaw much growth
within the area in the forthcoming years. The
Diocese purchased a portion of the land that we
now call our home in 1984. As a parish we officially
kicked off our faith journey on September 23,
1985 with a decree from his Excellency, the Most
Reverend Bishop Joseph P. Delaney, the second
bishop of the Diocese of Fort Worth. With much
hard work and prayer, from this moment on the
parish continued to flourish and grow.

The people of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal
Church graciously opened their doors for us to
hold Mass twice a week, as plans for a permanent
place of worship were in the works. St. Elizabeth
Ann Seton Catholic Church held its first Mass at
the temporary site on Saturday, July 7, 1985 for
78 people. Later on in the fall of 1985, additional
Masses were needed for the growing community.
By October of 1985, there were 250 registered
families in our parish. Eventually, a Parish Hall
was built where Mass was celebrated for several
years, as our family of faith continued to grow.

Under the leadership and guidance of Fr. John
Gremmels, to accommodate our active and
expanding parish, plans were made to develop
a permanent place of worship. On August 15,
2000, Bishop Delaney formally dedicated our
new church. At the same time, the doors opened
to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School.

Our commitment to provide a place where all can
gather, celebrate and participate in our Catholic
Faith has, throughout the years, remained
constant. As a result, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has
become known and respected as a place where
the Catholic Faith is upheld and taught with
integrity and faithfulness to the Holy Father and
all Bishops in union with him.
