Despite their living well into the 20th Century, both have concrete headstones that are made to resemble stone grave markers of the 1860s and earlier, not uncommon in older cemeteries in Texas. Some suggest that this shape is faintly human, a head atop a body. Each headstone is rectangular in shape, topped by a heart that is trimmed with seashells. In the center of each is a small plaque, of copper or bronze, saying "Father" and "Mother", respectively. At the center of each "body" are identifying plaques, also of copper or bronze:

Jasper Newton Robeson
Born Oct. 31, 1859
Died Jan. 20, 1930

Rosa M. Robeson
Born July 3, 1863
Died May 1, 1950
Material: Concrete
