At the so-called 'Unterer Marktbrunnen', an old fountain at the 'Marktplatz' in Weil der Stadt, Germany, Baden-Württemberg is a lion located on top.
The fountain has been created in 1603 by the local artist Hans Decker. The lion at the fountain is a copy. The original statue is located at the 'Stadtmuseum'.
The lion consists of sandstone. It holds a shield in its hands.
