St Augustine's was raised in 1854 on donated land. It served the congregation of Beckwith Township until 1888, when it was taken over by the Parish of Ashton. The church was officially closed in 1967, but the Parish still maintains the church and adjoining cemetery.
A cemetery memorial service is conducted on the first Sunday in August.
The church can be accessed off Lanark Cty Rd 10, just east of the town of Franktown.
