This work is among dozens of pieces by Icelandic artist Ásmundur Sveinsson for whom the adjacent Museum is named. There is no sign for this sculpture....but is presumably also by Sveinsson.
This sculpture depicts a nude young woman leaning over a basin and holding an item with two hands. Although she is probably washing the object... she actually seems to be molding something into a cone.
The piece seems to be made from painted cement.
