Small dedicated wooded area located outside the Ontario Provincial Police detachment in TilburyEssex, ON.

The park is dedicated to the victims and first responders of the fog-induced multi-vehicle crash that occurred on the nearby stretch of Highway 401 on 3 September, 1999.

Hwy 401 is the busiest multi-line highway in Canada. it stretches over 800 km from just south of Windsor, ON to the Ontario/Quebec border 60 km west of Montreal.

On the morning of 3 September, 1999, a very thick fog bank enveloped the nearby stretch of highway, almost without warning. A total of 87 vehicles were involved in the subsequent pile-up. 8 persons lost their lives, and 45 others were injured.

Several vehicles were fused together from the intense fire, and most of the crash area had to be repaved before traffic could return.

To date it remains Canada's greatest multi-vehicle disaster.
