The Ribble Link is a canal that opened in 2002 as part of a linear water park connecting the Lancaster Canal and The River Ribble.
It was the first new canal built for almost 100 years and from the outset the project was to be far more than 'just a canal' and included a sculpture trail along its length.
There is nothing to indicate why these footprints are here, but if they were real they would have been made by a giant. It is of bare feet, rather than ones wearing shoes, but are huge.
