Constructed in 1901 the train station is the SPETA diesel service line extending the Manayunk/Norristown line in Pennsylvania. The station is located on 12 West Main St. Schuylkill Haven Pennsylvania and is currently used by Reading Blue Mountain & Northern as an office building. The station was originally built by the Reading Railroad and taken out of service in 1981 when SEPTA cancelled diesel service to Pottsville.
On Sunday, May 8, 2016, a special excursion went from Pottsville to Jim Thorpe PA. The excursion stopped at the Schuylkill Haven station for the passengers to see the remodeling Reading had done to the station. The station is primarily the office of Reading Blue Mountain & Northern.
