The ski jumping had a long tradition in Buntenbock. Records says that in 1911 at the 3rd Festival of winter the first ski jumping competitions happened.
In 1963 the old non legal start scaffold had to be demolished, but in the same year a new built was that satisfied all municipal building inspection department claims.
Until 2006 regular ski jumping, children's and student classes were held on Ziegenberg on site. The smaller hill had a K-Point of 14 m, the big hill a K-Point of 26. This means there were lengths up to 30 meters possible. Due to new safety regulations, the entrenchment of major renovations were needed, but there is no active jumping more here, it was decided to jump back reassemble what was completed last year.
