The cheery wooden quilt block on front lawn extends a warm welcome to tourists arriving in town. The Franklin County Visitor Information Center is just off the I-35 and hospitable greeters offer coffee, cookies, and travel brochures. They also computer access, free WiFi, and a small gift area with products grown or made in Kansas. The welcome center is located in a large Victorian house that is open 7 days a week, 361 days a year: M-F 9-5pm, Sat. 9-4pm, & Sun 12-4pm. The main floor also hosts a quilt display that changes each month.
