Painted on the cement canvas of the former train trestle, artist Ira Watkins depicts Martin Luther King Jr. during his “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963. The concrete pillar is 20’ in height. A memorial plaque reads:
Dedicated to the memory of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. whose words and deeds prove that one person can make a difference.
