Built in 1690, this was the first building in Union Village. The original portion of the building was 20 foot square and then enlarged by around 1790. In 1739 it began to function as a tavern. In 1765, it became the home to Peleg Arnold, patriot, delegate to the Continental Congress and Chief Justice to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. It has been converted to a multi-family home
