The fountain is located in the centre of an ornamental pond in the centre of St Patrick's Park in Dublin.

The fountain is made from marble and is located in the centre of an ornamental pond that acts as a reservoir for the fountain. The jet of water emanates from the top of the fountain to a height of about 18 inches (0.5 metre). The water from the jet then fills the recess in the top of the fountain with the water then trickling over the edge back to the pond.
