The single-screen Rancho Drive-In Theater opened at 3961 U.S. 77
on the north side of Denton, TX in 1948. The screen was toppled by a 1971 storm but repaired a year later when the theater re-opened with two screens as the Town and Country Drive-in. Its capacity was 700 cars. The drive-in closed permanently in the summer of 1982. The only evidence of its former glory is a dilapidated concessions hut.
