The Deiselberg or Deisel mountain overlooks the Diemel River Valley, a limestone build landscape which was penetrated by this old inactive vulcano, the northernmost in Europe. So on top you find a rich beech tree forest overlooking the sorrounding fields.
The forest is in public use for hiking, geocaching and recreation, also its used for lumbering and hunting.
Owner is the City of Trendelburg.
Generally, forest in Germany without special protection and under public property are free to use for everyone which respect the environmental rules.
