Ángel Acosta Martín (* 25. November 1922 in Puerto de la Cruz; † 4. December 2015 in Tortosa) was painter and sculptor, born and raised in the neighborhood of Las Cabezas.
At the age of 21, he moved to Gran Canaria to join the school of Luján Pérez, later he expanded his knowledge of imagery at the Academia de San Jorge de Barcelona. He settled down in Tortosa, a town on the banks of the river Ebro in the Province Tarragona where he opened an atelier and received first commissions.
In 2005, the city of Tortosa granted him the title of Adoptive Son. In 2006 he received the tribute of Puerto de la Cruz, which dedicated to him this life-sized bronze bust on a volcanic rock on seaside neighbourhood of La Ranilla.
