Depicted small belfry, belonging to the adjacent Church of St. Elizabeth of Thuringia (Kostel Sv. Alžbety Durynské) in Caslav, is interesting piece of Renaissance sacral architecture.
Church and belfry were built for a new town hospital and adjacent cemetery in Caslav suburb called "Horske predmesti" in 1553. Belfry is simple two-storey tower structure of square ground plan. The grounfloor is windowless, with entrance from the church precincts, the bell floor is equipped by doubled arched windows. Roof is pyramidal with lantern. Despite partial adaptations (plasters and roof shape), belfry kept its original Renaissance appearance.
